Diversity In Delivery (DID)

SLCAB has been awarded a grant by the Reaching Communities programme of the Big Lottery Fund to increase and improve the delivery and access of advice for the BME residents of Toxteth.

We consulted and talked with local people, groups and services for over a year about BME advice needs in the Liverpool 8 area and the Delivery and Diversity (DID) Project is directly based on the consultation.

The aim of the DID project is to work with the BME communities in Toxteth and develop and deliver a package of services that will increase access to services, justice and opportunities; it will promote equality of opportunity, reduce disadvantage and exclusion and bring people together.

The project will start in November 2014 and is funded over 4 years and will have recruited 80 new BME volunteer advisers by the end of the project.
