Enterprise Hub aims to simplify access to enterprise support, building Liverpool City Region as a central hub for enterprise.  Drawing together
expert community organisations from across the region, Enterprise Hub will offer high quality enterprise services and strategic engagement to ensure local residents, no matter what their background and circumstances, can access support to assess their ideas and take them forward.

Citizens Advice South Liverpool are proud Community Partners of Enterprise Hub, offering wrap around services to ensure those accessing enterprise support can receive additional expertise to look at the bigger picture of their business ambition.   

What is enterprise hub?
Enterprise Hub is the enterprise gateway for business start-up support in Liverpool City Region (Liverpool, Sefton, Knowsley, Wirrenterprise hubal, St Helens and Halton). Offering expert advice and support to those who are thinking about starting a business including help to:

  • Understand the process of starting a business
  • Research a business idea
  • Build a comprehensive business plan
  • Develop a marketing plan
  • Create financial forecasts to understand the costs of running your business and potential income
  • Identify sources of finance to get started


Whether you are considering your self-employment options or have a clear business idea and are ready to receive guidance to start, you can get in touch with the Enterprise Hub team who can link you to local support to guide you through your journey.
 Eligibility for business start-up support
You can access support to start your new business through Enterprise Hub if you are:

  • A man or woman living in Knowsley, Sefton, Wirral, Liverpool, St Helens or Halton
  • Currently unemployed, employed or economically inactive
  • Looking to get support to start a business/go self-employed
  • Not yet registered as self-employed


As partners of the Enterprise Hub, an Enterprise Hub advisor can refer to us directly.

This could be in relation to welfare benefits to see what, if any, benefits you may be entitlement to should you start your own business (or become self- employed).
Or, you may need advice and assistance regarding a debt matter.

Whatever you think Citizens Advice can assist you with, ask your Enterprise Hub Advisor to refer you to us.
